I’m a filipino but I’m also a korean pop addict . i love both countries. you cannot blame me or anyone who loves diff. countries music and it doesn’t necessarily mean that i hate opm. i just love kpop MORE . obviously, kpop is very interesing –with well practiced dance steps, good choreo, good sounds, catchy music, good voices, good looks of the singers, and more i mean — IT’S ALL . try to listen to it and you will find why ^^

I think Filipinos are HARD WORKING people and GOOD WORKERS.. a lot even sacrifice to work abroad and away from their love ones just to get by.
Just look at our Government.. I wish someday we became more than just workers.. Because HARD/GOOD WORK is NOT EVERYTHING. It helps but NOT ENOUGH.

kung ano ang magandang sabayan dun ako… doesn’t matter kung asian man yan, black, or american music… the reason why they “invade” other countries is because they want to widen their market… if you are a true music lover, you appreciate music no matter where it originated… i’m glad we have a lot of options when it comes to music…

I am a Filipino, I love our own music (OPM), and I also love Korean music. I admire your korean artists because they are disciplined when it comes to this line of business. I’ve watched several korean groups’ and bands’ stories, and believe me, they’ve gone through a lot of intense training. No wonder koreans produces confident, talented, and competitive artists. I still have a lot of things to say, but the page is too short. kekeke

Hyundai = currently 3th largest car manufacturer in the world, surpassing Honda and (almost) Toyota.

@paigetwelve that long explanation only showed how insecure filipinos are of other countries because we all know philippines are being left behind in terms of progress. you get stuck with so many foreign cultures you dont actually know your own anymore

@ginsenglegend The Filipino culture and the way we embrace other foreign culture traces its roots to the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. When the Spaniards were still here (for about 330 years), they made the Filipinos think we’re the lesser race so everything foreign,most of us believe, is much better than what we have. IT’S NOT EASY TO TURN THINGS AROUND OVERNIGHT! I think you should be flattered that we like your music and dramas.
