@apple22guess As someone who lived through most of 90s KPop, and is obsessed with modern KPop, I think back them, it was a LOT more about the performance; Elaborate stage, LOTS of dancers, and LOTS of dancing, less about the singing, since the records were enough ‘proof’ that their favorite artists were capable of singing. Now, people want a great performance as well as ‘confirmation’ that these idols (who are legion) can sing, and are worthy of being praised.

KPop still lacks of mature pop referals… a shame they disbanded, they show how professional they were/are, their quality is beyond doubt.
