@MrSertrali I agree about the freestyling, but being a lyricist means you have the ability to write/rap something that has meaning to the lyrics, and not just about stuff that is on the surface.
Yes, Gaeri rapping off-beat, or in a swinging rhythm, makes him unique, but he admitted to not knowing how to count bars, or have any sort of actual musical theory, he just raps. Before Honey Family, he was known for just freestyling all the time.
@joonshik Lyricist in perspective of Hip Hop does not mean you have the talent to write lyrics. It is more keen to cyphers and the projection of freestyling on the go.
Gaeri’s ability to rhyme off-beat is what makes him unique. Much like E-Sen of Supreme Team/Jiggy Fellaz is known to drop the drawl and staccatos OFF-BEAT is what makes them unique.
