This was the first Tasha song I heard 2-3 years ago and I’ve loved her since.

I’m Black/Asian too so I feel really connected to her. I haven’t had to deal with racism but I had to deal with the issue of accepting both sides of me instead of just one. I still struggle with it now because many people tell me to just claim one race. There were so many times where I wanted to do things I didn’t like just to fit in. Those people suck but we have be strong like Tasha says.

  4. basboosa911 says:

If she had been born 10 years earlier like I was, times were worse. I recall living in korea having been scrubbed to the point of bleeding because they thought I was the color I am because I was dirty…

@HelloImPsycho There’s a page/mini-bio about her at Wikipedia. I just learned about her a few months ago myself. Hope to see her in concert some day. Also want to see the band her husband is in, too.

wtf is wrong w. pplz? why are they so racist &such prejiduced pigs! sheesh..no such thing as respect

  15. RFLuv93 says:

I don’t think she is dark at all.. The perfect colour.. I mean, its just colour right but music doesn’t know colour and and the word “stereotype” right~ Glad that she is gaining popularity. :D

  16. shinbo says:

gosh one of the good things i like about her is that she’s always so humble and grateful for all the things that has happened to her. When the fans started chanting her name when her dad was making his speech, towards the end around 2:36 you can even hear her say ‘thank you so much’ to them. LOVE her. :]

  17. feariekelly says:

this is a really moving song T_T

  18. arnyjk says:

Between the beats, the flow, the meaning and emotion of the song, this has to be my favorite rap of all time.

  19. HelloImPsycho says:

you know she says her dad wass black and American. not a soldier. Just sayin.

  20. deidraprodigy says:

This made me think of how i was when i was a kid .
I’m black but i felt like an outsider because kids would mock me just because
i didnt act like the “black” stereotype . But this song fits everyone and it really opens people’s eyes and it made me wonder why people hate others because of their skin.
can’t we wake up and look past that ?

  21. langelslshadowl says:

I admire her so much. After going through all of that look at where she is. She inspires me so much because I use to go home crying because I was different and even now its so hard not to break down. People are so prejudice against race and sexual orientation and appearance…it’s completely ridiculous. She inspires me so much. And now I’m tearing up…

  22. dchisun1 says:

I LOVE THIS SONG! I feel it. Much Luv to Tasha (Yoon MiRae), she is so talented….
    Keep it coming girl. 화이팅!!!
    Love from the U.S.

  23. kculturegirl says:

really good song. love how she had her dad’s words in there. poor baby having to go through all that hatred at such a young age! :( MIXED CHICK PRIDE :)

  24. neballar says:

    Love you T

  25. ahhjewlie says:

today, we can’t change people’s views on race. we just can’t because the older generations have lived with that fact for so long, it’s stuck in them. the only thing is for all of US to change that in the newer generations. that way no one will have that way of thinking anymore. hopefully, the children of today will open their minds more.
