@uyepham Well yes Wheesung was Daesung’s vocal coach, back in those days. But he kind of learned him singing while coaching. Daesung didn’t learn Wheesung anything. Daesung is who is now because of Wheesung’s amazing coaching ^^.

Wheesung and DBSK are my idols. Honestly both sing with so much compassion and their music has so much more contrast compared to other Korean stars wasting their time following the pathetic trends of the US. If they keep thinking this way, they are bound to loose in the end. Both of these artists made me fall for Korean music, but I hate the way its been going lately.
when korean music was great! not good…and when every artist had their own style…some still do..but many have gone with the wave..so bitter these days about how things have changed so much with kmusic…not the same…but still okay with some artist i guess…those who deserve the spotlight but don’t get it…how sad.
taiji, nell and clazziquai are the only korean singers i listen to regularly. some other korean singers are also good but not attached to them by any means.

@Lurexqueen by shit groups, you mean they are not even singers. They are more like dancers who play music in the background, lipsynching on their concerts. The Kpop in the 90′s were so much better, not to mention the ballad was already blooming with older artists from early 80′s
@Lurexqueen they’re not indie but they aren’t mainstream either. had a few mainstream exposures, but not like any other mainstream artists. they’re considered as one of the underground-but gets a few screen time here and there but still not appreciated as much as other artists… they’re not indie but they’re not far from that either

2. are they quite popular/famous now in Korea,..with all so many sometimes ‘noisy’ pretty-faces boybands/girlbands group mass-produced in media nowadays?

@epicanimedubs I totally know what u mean. Seriously, western music is overrated. There are so many fantastic music coming out from Japan & Korea, to name a few. especially if you’re looking for a ‘melodic’ kind of music, something that me as a musician myself, have noticed is very lacking in western music.
I am so glad that there are still people who are open and actually want to EXPLORE more music, outside of the mass-produced MTV which held politically by Western world anyway!
People shouldn’t bring up other people who don’t relate to this video.
